Terms and Conditions - Hammersmith Storage

Welcome to Hammersmith Storage. These Terms and Conditions govern your use of our storage services. By utilizing our facilities, you agree to comply with and be bound by the following terms. Please read them carefully.

1. Definitions

  • Client: Any individual or entity using Hammersmith Storage services.
  • Storage Unit: The rented space provided by Hammersmith Storage for the Client’s belongings.
  • Agreement: The contract between Hammersmith Storage and the Client outlining the terms of service.

2. Storage Unit Rental

Clients may rent storage units based on availability and subject to the terms outlined in this agreement. All rentals are subject to a monthly fee which is payable in advance.

2.1 Reservation and Payment

To reserve a storage unit, Clients must provide valid identification and complete the rental agreement. Payment must be made via the accepted methods prior to accessing the storage unit.

2.2 Access Hours

Clients have access to their storage units during the standard business hours of Hammersmith Storage. Extended access hours may be available upon request and subject to additional fees.

3. Use of Storage Units

Storage units are intended for the storage of personal and business items. Prohibited items include hazardous materials, illegal substances, and perishable goods. Clients must ensure that their stored items comply with local laws and regulations.

3.1 Prohibited Items

  • Explosives and flammable materials
  • Weapons and ammunition
  • Perishable food items
  • Illegal substances
  • Any item deemed hazardous by Hammersmith Storage

4. Client Responsibilities

Clients must ensure that their storage units are kept secure and that all items are properly packed to prevent damage. It is the Client’s responsibility to maintain the confidentiality of their access codes or keys.

4.1 Security

Hammersmith Storage employs various security measures, including surveillance cameras and on-site personnel. However, Clients are responsible for securing their own storage units.

4.2 Maintenance

Clients are responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and condition of their storage units. Any damage caused by negligence may result in additional charges.

5. Payment Terms

Monthly rental fees are due on the first day of each month. Payments can be made via credit card, direct debit, or other accepted methods. Late payments may incur additional fees.

5.1 Late Fees

If payment is not received within five days of the due date, a late fee will be applied. Continued non-payment may result in the suspension of access to the storage unit.

5.2 Refund Policy

Refunds are not provided for partially used months. If a Client decides to terminate the agreement, any unused portion of the month will not be refunded.

6. Liability

Hammersmith Storage is not liable for any loss or damage to the Client’s items unless caused by negligence on our part. Clients are encouraged to obtain insurance for their stored belongings.

6.1 Insurance

Clients may purchase insurance through Hammersmith Storage or provide their own insurance coverage. It is the Client’s responsibility to ensure their items are adequately insured.

6.2 Indemnification

Clients agree to indemnify and hold harmless Hammersmith Storage from any claims arising from the use of our storage facilities.

7. Termination of Agreement

Either party may terminate the agreement with thirty (30) days written notice. Upon termination, Clients must remove all items from the storage unit and settle any outstanding payments.

7.1 Termination by Hammersmith Storage

Hammersmith Storage reserves the right to terminate the agreement immediately if the Client violates any terms or engages in prohibited activities.

7.2 Removal of Items

Upon termination, clients will have a specified period to remove their belongings. Failure to do so may result in the disposal or auction of the items, and any costs incurred will be charged to the Client.

8. Modifications to Terms

Hammersmith Storage reserves the right to modify these Terms and Conditions at any time. Clients will be notified of any significant changes, and continued use of the services constitutes acceptance of the new terms.

8.1 Notification

Clients will be notified of changes via email or through our official communication channels. It is the Client’s responsibility to stay informed of any updates.

8.2 Acceptance of Changes

Continued use of Hammersmith Storage services after modifications have been made signifies the Client’s acceptance of the new Terms and Conditions.

9. Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which Hammersmith Storage operates. Any disputes arising from this agreement will be resolved in the appropriate legal venues.

10. Miscellaneous

If any provision of these Terms and Conditions is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision will be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.

10.1 Entire Agreement

This agreement constitutes the entire understanding between the Client and Hammersmith Storage regarding the use of our services and supersedes all prior agreements and understandings.

10.2 Severability

If any part of these Terms and Conditions is deemed invalid, the remaining sections will continue to be enforceable.
